Bruno Reynolds

Head of Oxentia Foundation

Bruno has built extensive experience in technology commercialisation for public, private, and university partners worldwide. With an academic background in Life Sciences, he focuses on commercialising early-stage research outputs aligned with social development goals. Bruno supports research commercialisation, from identifying inventive concepts to IP strategy and engaging commercial partners. He co-founded an innovation management company in Portugal, Triple Helix Technologies, and has extensive expertise in intellectual property, social enterprise, spin-outs, and business model development. Bruno holds an MBA, PhD in Developmental Biology, MSc in Neuroscience, and BSc in Biomedical Sciences.

Hamish McAlpine

Programmes Lead

Hamish specialises in knowledge exchange (KE), commercialisation, and innovation management. He delivers consultancy, training, and strategy development to higher education, research, and government organisations. His background includes creating England's first Knowledge Exchange Framework, managing KE funding, and leading research projects. Hamish specialises in KEC strategy, data analysis, compliance and intellectual property. He holds a PhD and MEng from the University of Bath and has certifications in PRINCE2 and Lean/Six Sigma.

Franziska Guenther

Research Lead

Franziska collaborates with organisations across the world, facilitating technology commercialisation through market analysis, technology scouting, and IP assessment. Her focus lies in medical, life sciences, pharmaceutical sectors, and clean technologies tackling environmental challenges. Previously, at the University of Oxford, she contributed to a collaborative drug discovery project with industry partners. Franziska holds a broad biomedical background, a PhD in Neurophysiology, and expertise in innovation strategy, IP landscaping, competitor analysis, innovation ecosystem reviews, and drug discovery.

Irene Dal Poz

Partnering Lead

Irene combines academic research and professional experience in governmental offices. At Oxentia, she delivers innovation management programmes and develops new courses for technology transfer professionals. Previously, as an Early Career Fellow at the University of Warwick, Irene led interdisciplinary research on citizenship. She worked as a Junior Policy Officer at Unioncamere del Veneto in Brussels and at Openpolis, an NGO in Rome. With a joint PhD in Philosophy from Monash University and the University of Warwick, Irene has worked in Italy, France, Belgium, Australia, and the UK.
